The Modesto Bee today endorsed Dennis Cardoza, a Democrat, in California’s 18th congressional district and Jeff Denham, a Republican, in the 19th district.
The Bee’s Ron Agostini has a terrific feature today on Harry Eastwood, a Modesto man who in his athletic prime in the New York Yankees’ organization vied with Yogi Berra. An injury kept Eastwood from his big-league dream, but he shares a scrapbook full of memories.

I abhor your requirement now that I be a “member” before I can look at the Bee online. I subscribe to the newspaper. Now it seems I’ve tried (evidently unsuccessfully in my mind but successfully in your computer’s mind) to become a “member.” Evidently I have tried to use a password that … bla, bla, bla.
